Photographic Safaris
The Masai Mara is regarded as one of the best wildlife destinations in Africa and a photographer’s dream. Renowned for the Big Cats: lion, leopard and cheetah, but not forgetting elephant, giraffe, hippo, hyena, zebra, antelopes and the huge variety of birdlife. This is the trip where wild Africa is within your reach. Each day as we begin our game drive you will be filled with excitement and anticipation as you imagine what wonders will await us!
Amboseli is the place for elephants and Mount Kilimanjaro. We will spend 1 day in the National Park, around the marsh area families of elephants can be found, great reflections in the waters of elephants, wildebeest, flamingo and a variety of water birds. On clear days a stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Conservancy has 3 waterholes, 2 have viewing decks where you can sit and watch/photograph the wildlife coming down to drink.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy has the largest concentration of Black & White Rhino in East Africa. Families of elephants, large numbers of zebra, giraffe and other antelopes can be seen on a regular basis on the open plains or near the water hole areas.
Join me on a very special guided photographic safari to these famous regions of East Africa. Experience one of the world’s last true wildernesses and bring back your own photographs of its iconic wildlife and landscape.

Is This Safari For You?
All Photographers and Non Photographers Are Welcome
Photographers of all levels are welcome. These safaris are small intimate groups, maximum of 3 or 4 people in a vehicle, giving plenty of room to move around and myself the opportunity to spend time with everyone.
Location
The camps I use on safari are based in Conservancies, close to the action and far less crowding. The crowds of 30+ vehicles per sighting that can be seen in the Reserve are never at risk in the conservancies. I have personally spent over 3.5 years living and working in the Mara and know the Conservancies and some of the lion prides and cheetahs well.
Knowledge of the animal’s behaviour is a key component to wildlife photography and this allows us to often predict where the animal will be in a few minutes time when we are on a sighting. This allows the animal to come to us which is a much better experience and most importantly for the wildlife as it puts them at ease (no chasing). As with any natural environment, the wildlife comes first and us second. We ensure that the welfare of the wildlife is not compromised or impeded by our presence.
Using small tented camps giving an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Meals are freshly prepared each day, so any diet requirements can be catered for.

Vehicles
Using open sided 4x4 vehicles with a maximum of 3 or 4 people in a vehicle. Giving you plenty of space to move around when needed.
How Do I Book?
My tour groups are small 3 or 4 participants in a vehicle.
To reserve your spot in this amazing safari please email me at alisonmeesphotography@gmail.com
