Typical Day

Early mornings begin with a light breakfast before heading to the hides.
Each session lasts around 4–5 hours, usually running through the morning and into lunchtime.
Quiet, focused time spent watching and waiting as different bird species come and go around the hides.

After returning to the hotel around midday, there’s time to rest, review images, or enjoy a relaxed lunch.

Afternoon sessions begin mid-to-late afternoon and continue until early evening, returning to the hotel in time for dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Some days bring unforgettable moments as raptors glide past the hides or a kingfisher lands perfectly on its perch. Other days you may sit quietly for hours and see very little.
That’s all part of hide photography, and patience is always rewarded in its own way.

Other species you may encounter include Hoopoe, Little Owl, Flamingo, Grebes, Avocet, Plovers, Lesser Kestrel, Eurasian Roller, Kingfisher, and occasionally Red Fox.

Every day offers new possibilities.
Patience and stillness often bring the most rewarding moments.
Important Information

With wildlife photography, every day is different.
Some sessions can be wonderfully active with a variety of species coming and going.
Other days may be very quiet and you may see very little at all.
Weather also plays a part, and changes in wind, heat, or cloud can influence how much activity there is around the hides.
This is all part of the experience, and patience is always essential.

The hides have been carefully selected for their proven activity and excellent viewing positions, but nothing in nature is guaranteed.
Some days bring memorable moments, while others may require long, quiet stretches of waiting.

The experience itself is not physically demanding, with only short walks needed to reach the hides.
You will need to remain seated and quiet during each session, as many species are easily disturbed.
Each hide accommodates a maximum of two people, creating a calm and focused environment.
There are no toilets at the hides, but sessions are planned with this in mind.
Small fans are provided on warmer days to help keep the air moving.
Bringing layers is recommended, as temperatures can change throughout the day.
